
Last year, Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald appealed to millions of YouTube users around the world to upload films of their lives on July 24th. The final film, Life in a Day, was created from 80,000 uploads from over 190 countries.
Life in a Day will be released on June 17, 2011, in the UK, and will give 25% of each online ticket purchase to charity.

Refuge
Refuge is the largest specialist service provider of domestic violence services in the country. It opened the world’s very first refuge in London in 1971 and celebrates its 40th birthday in 2011. Alongside providing safe, emergency accommodation and emotional and practical support to women experiencing domestic, Refuge also provides services for children, individual and group counselling and community based outreach services. Its services include specialist refuges and outreach projects for black and minority ethnic communities. It has a growing team of independent domestic violence advocates whose primary role is to support a woman through the civil and criminal justice system. On any given day Refuge is supporting over 1,600 women and children. It also runs the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline in partnership with Women’s Aid.
